Last updated: 04/23/08 C. G.'s Sewing Our Products Florida riders face long summer months with plenty of heat, humidity and lots of biting insects almost year-round. Maintaining your horse's skin integrity is very important under these conditions, wherever you live. A girth can cause friction and chaffing, and I think keeping a clean girth cover on my horse has kept the skin in this area in great shape! The covers are white and measure approximately 5 ½ inches wide, by 19 inches long, fitting most horses from elbow to elbow. The fabric is a polyester and acrylic blend, and all seams are double stitched for durability. They are designed to fit most dressage girths, and can also be used for hunter/jumper girths, but won’t fit over the belly guard types (because of the extra width in the middle).
Even after two years of use, my girth covers are still nice and soft. You'll be surprised at how sweaty and dirty these covers can get after a good workout! Just machine or hand-wash in a mild detergent and rinse well. I like to air dry mine to make sure nothing sticks to the "fleece." Customer satisfaction is my #1 priority. If you are not satisfied with your new girth cover, simply return it in clean condition, along with the receipt, within 30 days of purchase for a full refund of product price.
