I’ve been making these girth covers for my horse for several years, and I like how soft and cushiony they are against my horse’s skin. I think they protect his tender girth area and also help absorb some sweat after exercising. Cleaning my girth is a breeze, and I just slip on another clean girth cover the next time I ride or lunge.
Being machine washable makes them easy to clean, and you just rinse well to get all detergent out. They drip dry quickly or can be put in a dryer at a low heat setting. Wash prior to first use. I really like these girth covers, and I think you will too!
